Shiny new things

My life is currently full of new and exciting ventures. All of which are keeping me from updating my blog and making any solid works of art. I try and create every day, but sometimes the things I create aren't tangible.

Some things I've been working on lately:

- Just started a blog with my friends called Skum Bunny
- Moving into a new apartment in Beverlywood with two lovely ladies
- Designing posters for Novel Poster, very Kara Walker-esque
- Preparing for an art show/variety show on May 21st in Westchester at a placed called "The Villa"
- Riding my bike, going to huge dance parties, and participating in silly birthday parties.

I will post some art soon, I promise! Finally, here's a picture of me having a lot of fun on my tall bike (before it got run over by a car and bent into a C shape)

Brown Paper Bag Book

I made a book! I used some brown paper bags, scrap fabric, hot glue, elmers and a snap button.

Sending out postcards for the We Are All Animals show to all my favorite galleries in SF. I spent a few two many hours today customizing the envelopes. Better get back to work!

Water Works

I got invited to be a part of this awesome group show that is also a benefit for an inspiring project by UNICEF. I did a little research and found this promotional video about it.

One of my ultimate goals in life is to make art that makes a positive change in someone's life, no matter how minutely my work affects them. Ideally, it would work on a massive scale, and change the way a whole nation views themselves and the world, but...baby steps. At the very least, to be a part of this project makes me smile because it tells me I'm doing something right.

TL/DR: the Tap Project raises money to help bring clean water to countries that don't have access to it, the video shows thirsty kids getting excited about tap water. We make art about it! Come to the show!
